Day 53 | FEBRUARY 22, 2021 | Apostle Gideon C Boateng

Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs, and don't forget to thank him for his answers.

Phil 4:6(TLB)

Did you know it is 'unchristian' to worry? For many out there worrying is a nature. It is their natural response to the bad events of life. If you are a child of God, worrying is not part of your nature. The bible declares you as a new creation (2 cor 5:17) old things are passed away and all things are become new. God didn’t add worrying to your new nature. Now, God didn’t say situations that call for worrying will not come your way, what He said was to cast all of it upon Him and relax.

One of the main reasons Israel would not enter the promise Land for 40 years aside their unbelief is not serving God with joy. They were in a perpetual habit of complaining and worrying when God was right in their midst.

(Deut 28:47-48 NIV) Because you did not serve the Lord your God joyfully and gladly in the time of prosperity, therefore in hunger and thirst, in nakedness and dire poverty, you will serve the enemies the Lord…)

I hope you saw that? God demands fellowship but not the one with worrying and frowns. The Paradox of worrying is that, it causes what the person worrying about to happen whiles withholding the Lord from helping.

In Christ Jesus, there’s no room for worrying. Worrying is not of God and it delays your shining. Instead of going through the wilderness in matters of days or weeks, they ended up doing 40 years with the exception of Joshua and Caleb being the only two to survive after the 40 years.

I refuse to worry about anything for He says I should cast all my burdens upon Him because He cares for me. I would seek Him in all I do because I am sure and aware that all other things would be added to me.
