Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest
John 4:35 (KJV)
The Lord Jesus in His earth walk had one pressing thing on his mind, the salvation of souls. He would preach everywhere at the least opportunity- sea sides, wilderness, synagogues, homes of people etc., to reconcile men back to God. He never relented on this course until the day when He climaxed it on the cross when He shouted 'it is finished'.
Simply put, Jesus was and is a Harverter. He reconciled prostitutes, hardened criminals and religious people back to God and was not ready to stop at anything. He would overcome everything to reach out to the people He was sent to and now sends us into the field to Harvest. John 17:18 (KJV) As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.
It is our time to enter the harvest and be soul winners as our Lord Jesus. This is for every child of God not pastors. You don't need to be certified before you become a harvester, it is the primary call of every child of God to reconcile the world to God. 2 Corinthians 5:19 (KJV) To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
Start today. Talk to people from all walks of life. Introduce people to Jesus in your school, office, bank, market place etc. Get them saved by the droves wherever you meet them and help them grow up in the Lord. Be a harvester!
