Be strong and of good courage, for to this people you shall divide as an inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers to give them. Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go.

Josh 1:6-7

Anyone who would walk deeply with the Lord must have one trait ‘COURAGE’. Without this quality, it is impossible to go far or deeper with the Lord in the way He is going to lead. It is one of the key ingredients in the life of any general of God, you can name them Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, David, John the Baptist, the Apostles etc. Courage is the common characteristic among all the people that made exploits for God. Sometimes courage has been the only character some of them exhibited yet they succeeded in their walk with the Lord.

After the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, Joshua his servant became the new leader of Israel and the only thing God required of him was courage. To lead and do exploits like the great Prophet Moses requires one to be very courageous. God gave Joshua all the promises; everywhere you step I will give to you, no man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life, I will be with you as I was with Moses etc. but be very COURAGEOUS!

Do you know it is the same today? God has given us all his Word. He says all things are yours, you are head and not tail, the greater one lives in you, no weapon fashion against you shall prosper, you shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover, you shall raise the dead, when you drink any deadly thing it shall not harm you etc. Now the question is, how many see these manifested in their lives. Many preachers and Christians today don’t see the power of God in their ministries because of a lack of courage in the word of the Lord.

The fear of failure has left many in the same place all their life. Like the other disciples who were with Peter they are stuck in the boat while Peter was having a time of his life walking on the sea. Child of God muster courage in anything the Lord has called you into and forge on. Remember, although it looks terrifying, when you jump out of the Boat, you will walk on water. Nobody has been disappointed trusting and being courageous towards the Lord. It is the secret to your next level of Glory!
