Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.

2 Timothy 2:1 (KJV)

The Lord Jesus didn't come into the world for nothing. He came to make us far bigger, better and greater than we were when we were in the world. In His own words He said: '... I came so they can have real and eternal life, more and better than they ever dreamed of.' John 10:10b- (The Message Bible). The question is, did He succeed in doing it? The answer is a big YES!

He succeeded fully in what He came to do, so much so that on the cross He screamed: 'it is finished' - John 19:30. It is now time for His people to enjoy what He did for them. He came to deliver us from the claws of the kingdom of darkness and to translate us into the domain of light. 1 Peter 1:11 speaks of it this way, it says 'the sufferings of Christ and the glory that shall follow'

After the sufferings of Christ comes glory. If you've been saved, you ought to be living the glorious life by now. Cease seeing yourself as a sinner, don't live life as one who is condemned. Cease seeing yourself as one weak entity demons can you with. It is a glorious life of victory over satan and all his machinations... It is a victory over sickness, sin and demons. If these things still reign over you, it is time to claim the Word of God and to say no to them. How are you going to do it? Our topic and opening verse tells it all, BE STRONG! Be firm in what the Bible tells you of the accomplishments of Christ for us.

First, side strongly with the word of God in faith. Don't be double minded about them because that is the clear way not to be a participator of what has been accomplished (James 1:6-8).

Take the promises of God and make them yours. If the Bible says you have authority over the devil, say yes and make it yours. Anytime you meet the devil let him know he is far below you then you put him there forcefully. When sickness rear its ugly head, refuse to accept it. Be strong and resist it forcefully in faith. That is how to get what the Lord did for you working in your life. Until you are strong (firm and unyielding), you may not see them in your life.
