'I am the light of the world', 'a greater than Solomon is here', 'ye are from beneath; I am from above', 'I am the way, the truth and the life. No man can reach the Father except through me', 'I am the living bread which came from Heaven', 'I and my Father are one', 'He that hath seen me hath seen the Father'.
-these are the confessions of the Lord Jesus.
In Christ, we are New Creation after the order of the Lord Jesus. God's intention for giving us Jesus Christ was to bring many sons to glory (Heb 2:10). Romans 8:29-30 (KJV) For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. The Greek for firstborn in the verse is prototype, meaning, the Christian in the spirit is in the exactness or exactitude of the Lord Jesus (1 John 4:17).
A Christian life that is less the example of Jesus Christ is in error. Your life must fully depict the Christ life you have. To live this way, our mindset and consciousness is very important. Many are only conscious of their old man which is put to death in Christ. Jesus Christ showed us the way by His earth walk; He was fully conscious of his heavenly origin and it was always seen in His utterances. Remember, out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.
Your confessions about you is the dominant thought in your heart, and that is who you are, so don't expect any results contrary to your confession. Listen to some of the confessions of Jesus above, even the officers sent to arrest him recognised that He was of a different breed. They said no man ever spoke like Jesus! It is time to take our proper place. It is time to speak rightly. It is time to be conscious of our divine origin and let it out in our confessions. Your life goes in the direction of your mouth. What you say is actually who you are and what you are. Remember, speaking yourself down contrary to scripture is no humility at all!
