Day 131| 11 MAY 2021 | Apostle Gideon C Boateng

That is what the Scriptures mean when God told him, "I have made you the father of many nations." This happened because Abraham believed in the God who brings the dead back to life and who creates new things out of nothing. Even when there was no reason for hope, Abraham kept hoping—believing that he would become the father of many nations. For God had said to him, "That's how many descendants you will have!" And Abraham's faith did not weaken, even though, at about 100 years of age, he figured his body was as good as dead—and so was Sarah's womb. Abraham never wavered in believing God's promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God. He was fully convinced that God is able to do whatever he promises.

Rom 4:17-22

Today, we have a relatively longer passage from Abraham, the Father of Faith, for our opening verse because of its relevance to the subject of faith. We see Father Abraham exhibiting great faith as indicated by his high confidence level in the character of God. He was fully persuaded the scripture says. Full persuasion is what you require to get testimonies with God. People who waver and stagger shall never get the results they desire (James 1:6-7). I dare say this; if you get to 100% confidence level with God in an area of life, you shall have 100% result in that area.

If your persuasion (confidence level) on ministering divine healing gets to 100%, you shall have 100% results in ministering to the sick. Whatever your faith has been able to grasp of God’s ability is what you shall receive. It therefore matters who you walk and fellowship with. If all the people you talk and listen to mostly doubt God’s ability, in a certain area, it is most likely that it will rub on you and keep you at their level. The way into a glorious and a vibrant faith life is meditation. Pondering, muttering, speaking and sometimes shouting the Word of God will build confidence into you for the supernatural.

The way to do this is to gather verses on the particular area you want to grow your confidence level in; read and then meditate (imagine, ponder, mutter, speak) till you get to the point where you know deep within that it is true and certain for you. At the point where your conviction is fully built you are aligned automatically for the supernatural. Don’t assume your conviction is full if you’ve not meditated on the Word of God. It is this presumption that leaves many disappointed in the ability of God. They think they are in faith but never get results. Take note: If it fails then it was never faith because faith works always 1 Cor 13:13.

I set my gaze on the word of God daily and I give it ample room in my mind to dominate and build full conviction in my heart for the Lord. I have a good testimony like the saints of old because of my faith!
