Day 55 | FEBRUARY 24, 2021 | Apostle Gideon C Boateng

For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.

2 Tim 1:7

God has not given us the spirit of fear. There’s none of God’s children He has given fear and if Papa God doesn’t give it to you, you don’t have it. I know you may be wondering ‘but I know so many fearful Christians’. It may even be you experiencing fear occasionally it still doesn’t mean much you don’t have it. Fear is an outside force you don’t have it. John 3:27…"No one can receive anything unless God gives it from heaven… You can’t have it truly unless God gives it to you and God said He never gave you fear, the question then is from where did you come by it?

Fear is like a bird landing on the roof of your building or car, do you own the bird because it walked on your compound? This means fear is an intruder and it doesn’t have permission to affect your life unless you allow it. From our opening verse, fear is introduced as a spirit. Many just think fear is a feeling, it is more than a feeling it is a demonic spirit that kills many more people than any disease you have heard of today. Fear doesn’t only kill in large numbers it does it faster. An example of this is a man with a deadly disease. This man lives a normal healthy life until the doctors break the news of the disease, immediately he begins to shrink and die almost instantly. Fear entered by this new knowledge and started killing him.

Fear is negative faith. It comes just as faith comes, by words. As you watch the news and movies guard your heart against fear because it is always lurking at the door of your heart seeking the least opportunity to enter. Did you know the master never feared? When He was walking on the water for many kilometers, raising Lazarus from the dead and turning water into wine but Peter did and at that moment He sank. Fear seeks to sink you don’t allow it room in your life. It was only the cross that posed as a threat for the master to fear, but He handled it in prayers and it stayed away from him. Dangerous situations may be inevitable but fear is a choice you make.

I refuse to sink through fear. I am always on top and bold as the lion for that is my nature. I am the child of the lion of the tribe of Judah. I never fear, I can't fear and I don't fear because I choose not to.
