Day 343| December 8, 2020 | Apostle Gideon C Boateng

And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you; And to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. And be at peace among yourselves.

1 Thessalonians 5:12-13 (KJV)

A man of God is a man called of God and vested with His WORD and POWER to deliver you in to the purpose of God for your life. They are sent our way by God to help our lives come in alignment with His purposes for us. Without men sent from God to us, many of us wouldn't be born again, filled with the Spirit or even trained in spiritual things. Demons, sickness and sin would have destroyed some of us had it not been for our encounter with certain ministers of God.

Although men of God play great roles in our lives, they are dishonoured in most place because of a few bad ones crept in unawares. But you have to honour your men of God. Honour the men God has used and continue to use to establish you in the faith because the Bible says so. To honour means to value, respect, and esteem them highly. Although they are men, you can't treat them as you do other men. If you do, the anointing and blessings of God they carry will not work for you.

Even the Lord Jesus couldn't do mighty works in places where He was dishonoured. Mark 6:4-6 (KJV)- But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house. And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them. And he marvelled because of their unbelief. And he went round about the villages, teaching.

The grace you don't honour will not work for you. There's no great man of God anywhere but the one you honour. To honour your men of God do these things:

1. Speak well of them everywhere

2. Defend them openly at all times

3. Let them know you appreciate and love their role your life

4. Take their words seriously and let them know it

5. Bless them with money and good material things

If you continue to do these things the grace of God given them will continually work for you. Most genuine men will never demand this from you but you must know and do to fully benefit from the grace on them.

I honor my men of God.
