The greatest problem of many Christians is not the devil or the challenges of life but their new identity in Christ. Where identity refers to the knowledge of who you are. Many know all about how bad they used to be but not how good they are now. All they talk about is their old life: 'when I was in the world, I was this and that and did this and that'. Ask them now that they are in Christ what have they done or become and they have virtually nothing to say.
Until you know and accept what you've become in Christ, you are not ready to live the life. You need to move from just a mental agreement to talking about your new life just as you were conscious and did with your old life. Rather, in a superficial humility, you find most Christians claiming nothingness.
We are unlike Paul and the Lord Jesus. Paul said: 'I can do all things', 'He that is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him', He is blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places'. The Lord also said: ‘ I and my Father are one', 'as the Father has life in himself even so has he granted for the Son to have life in himself', 'no one takes my life from me', 'the Spirit of God is upon me', 'I came from Heaven'.
What are you saying about you? Are you claiming you are nothing and a nobody? Understand this truth, your life will go in the direction of your beliefs and Confessions. What you believe will eventually become your reality, it is just a matter of time. If you speak the word irrespective of your present condition, your belief will change your reality. It is time to see yourself and speak differently!
