…so he said, 'I will do this: I will pull down my barns and build greater, and there I will store all my crops and my goods. And I will say to my soul,"Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years; take your ease; eat, drink, and be merry."' But God said to him, 'Fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided?' "So is he who lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God."
Luke 12:18-21
The second people Jesus called foolish are people who are rich in earthly things but poor toward God. He used the analogy of a man whose farm yielded so much but only thought of how He can preserve more for himself here on earth but not in eternity. Jesus calls anyone who prepares for the things of the earth but does little or nothing about their eternity foolish.
Unfortunately, this is the state of many people of God. They love and prefer the applause of men than the applause of God. They can make a budget for everything but the house of God and their eternity. It is amazing how some of them can give to football clubs, old school associations and even to political parties but not God. When they receive money the kingdom of God is the last thing that comes to mind. This kind of behaviour according to Jesus is not wise.
Life is Spiritual so it is important to be spiritually minded. Man is not just a body. He is a spirit with a soul living in a body. It is therefore important to give pre-eminence to spiritual things. As we prepare for the things of this world, we shouldn’t lose sight of the supernatural. We shouldn’t gain the whole world at the expense of our soul.
If we can grasp this truth, our lives will make more sense before God and we will be counted as wise, then we shall have treasure in Heaven.

// 🗣SAY BY FAITH
Life is spiritual! I mind spiritual things more than I do the natural. I am richer towards God than I am in natural things.
