and behold, there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon, and this man was just and devout, waiting for the Consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him. And it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the Lord's Christ.
Luke 2:25-26
One effect of the Spirit of God in the Life of the Christian is that He reveals things to them before they actually happen. Our opening verse showed that the Spirit of God revealed to Simeon things that must happen in his life before He dies. Take not that this is not exclusive to some few people. All of God’s children are entitled to divine revelations from the Spirit of God. Simeon was not called a prophet but He had revelations.
God has not designed for his children to live as 'animals' do. Animals wake up and do not know what will happen to them next but the child of God can have knowledge of things to happen in the future before they come. Jesus said: ‘However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come'. John 16:13.
The way to have such revelatory influences from the Holy Spirit is by first acknowledging and being conscious of his presence in your life. After this, always talk with Him. Ask Him to show you things to come and be expectant to receive them as He delivers them to you. This is one thing many Christians have not learned to do. If you can master interacting with the Spirit of God in this way you will have revelations of things to come.
The way the Spirit of God will give you this revelations can be through dreams, trances, visions, words of knowledge and wisdoms. The secret to receiving from the Spirit of God is your consciousness and sensitivity. If you can stay your mind on Him and His ever guiding promptings, He will guide you in every way and tell you of things to come. Things that will help you remain this conscious include frequent fasting, long prayers in the spirit and regular Bible studies.

// 🗣SAY BY FAITH
The Spirit of God is a Spirit of revelation. He knows all things and wants to reveal the future to me. I remain conscious and sensitive of His eternal presence with me. I receive knowledge of the future from the Spirit of God daily through dreams, visions, trances and inward impressions.
