above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.
Eph 6:16
Our opening verse stresses the essence of Faith in the Christian’s life. It says above all the armor of God mentioned like the helmet of salvation, breastplate of righteousness, belt of truth, the feet shod with the preparation of the gospel and the sword of the spirit which is the Word of God, the Christian must have their shield of faith. Meaning don't take the role of faith in your Christian walk for granted.
Faith is your shield against every attack of the devil. As you lead the Christian life, the enemy will try to bring on you situations that will make you give up your belief. For some, He will attack you with your past trying to bring you into condemnation; He may also throw sicknesses and accusations at you. Some Christians get hit by this fiery darts of satan and begin to give up on their confidence in the Lord. First you need to realize all those things are his stratagems to get you back unto his side and the weapon given you against these schemes is your faith.
Faith is laying claims to what the Word of God says about you although you may not see it physically. Faith is calling the things God has said in His word real and available now even though you can’t touch them in the natural. With your faith alive, you will be able to stop the enemy from getting at you with his arrows and darts. With your faith working the devil will be rendered useless because he can’t get at you.
If he throws pain at you, you declare ‘Jesus took every pain so I command this pain out’. If everyone around you speaks against your faith in the Lord, you rejoice and declare ‘great is my reward in Heaven’ because that is what the word says about the persecuted. When your past and weaknesses are brought up to condemn you, there's no condemnatio to them which are in Christ. Don’t let any attack directed at you by the devil go unstopped by your faith. Always keep your shield with you wherever you go and be conscious to stop every negative force that seeks to jump on you.

My faith is alive, with my faith I stop every stratagems of the devil. I call the Word of God true and every contrary thing a lie. I live a glorious life daily and no weapon determined against me shall prosper.
