But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.
Revelation 2:6 (KJV)
In the letter to the church in Ephesus in Revelation 2:6, the Lord Jesus praised the church for hating the deeds of the Nicolaitans whiles HE rebuked the church in Pergamos for having some people who held on to the same doctrine (Rev 2:15). In both verses the Lord tells us He hates the deeds and teachings of the Nicolaitans and doesn't expect HIS church to hold on to such evil teachings.
Nicolaitan means ' subduing the people', 'victory over the people' or the 'destruction of the people' and the Lord hates it. This teaching is manifested in ministers of God lording it over the people of God. The minister makes him or herself a God to the people without whom the people cannot hear from God or make progress. It separates the people of God into two groups: the called and the uncalled, the priests and the ordinary. This is a doctrine of the devil that prevents majority of God's people from doing the work of God under the guise that they are not called. It goes on to say not everyone is supposed to preach but rather they can spend all their time doing every other thing secular only they should support the work of God.
It is rather sad that all over the world many Christians believe this lie which the Lord hates. If you are following this lie, repent and come out of it because one day very soon you will stand before the Lord and all you did in the world will not matter except the ones that were relevant in his kingdom.
Begin to take the words of the master seriously and go everywhere publishing it as He guides you. You are not too old neither are you too young to yield to God. Seek the Lord today and make sure you fulfil His assignment for your life because you are a child of God and have a holy calling upon your life.

I rid myself from the teachings and deeds of the Nicolaitans. I don't prevent the people of God from fulfilling their call neither do I allow anyone to stop me too. Like Christ, I didn't come to to be ministered to but to minister to the saints.
