As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.
John 17:18 (KJV)
In His earth walk, the Lord Jesus was into many ministries. He was found healing the sick, casting out devils, raising the dead, preaching, teaching, training disciples, itinerary preaching, etc. Although we see Him into all these, He had one focus and that was RECONCILIATION.
2 Corinthians 5:19 (KJV) To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. In other words, the purpose of all the master did was for reconciling the world back to God including His death. He had one theme, goal or aim and that was making the world come to know God (John 17:3).
This very assignment is now become the primary theme, goal or assignment of every child of God. The Lord by divers means have reconciled us to the Father to reconcile all our other brethren back to the Father also. Irrespective of what we are into or shown to us by the Lord, the spirit should be reconciliation. Whether it be teaching, doing business or the ability to know things supernaturally, the basic purpose is to RECONCILE.
Oh! What a blessed assignment we have! A high call to work with the Father Himself (1 Cor 3:9) with provisions of the same glory made available to the Lord (John 17:22). There's nothing as important and needful as this charge we have to keep. In every way let's keep it to the glory of our Father in us and heaven.
