Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? Behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.
John 4:35
This year our devotional has taught us about the call of God. We were taught that we all have a calling from God and we must identify them. After we have identified our calling we need to attend it with all the seriousness we can muster. If the Father has laid a work on your heart to do: this could be helping the needy, going into the ministry or giving to support the work of God; don’t postpone it. Treat it with the urgency the master would. Remember, the opportunity may not be available in the future when you think you are ready.
The Lord Jesus in his earth walk attended His calling from God with urgency. He was constantly on the move doing the FATHER'S bidding all day and all the time. He showed earnestness in his witnessing to Israel. He proved by his words and actions that the work given him by his Father was extremely important and it required immediate action and he wasn’t ready to play around. The Work God has given us is important and we must attend it just like the master did, with seriousness and urgency.
Listen to His prayer in John 17, “I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do” John 17:4. How many people can say they really finished their God given assignment? Apostle Paul said a similar thing before He went to be with the Lord. It is now our turn and we should all be able to say same by the time the Lord wants us home.
Kick away the fear and excuses why you can’t start today. Act with urgency and when you have started, refuse to be distracted by anything that wants to steal your attention. Stick to the main thing and let it always be the main thing.

// 🗣SAY BY FAITH
As Identify my God given calling; I attend it all seriousness and urgency. I don’t postpone the work to the future because the opportunity may not be available in the future. I will also say like the Lord Jesus that I have finished the Work God gave me to do.
