Day 24 | January 24, 2021 | Apostle Gideon C Boateng

The sower soweth the word.

Mark 4:14

The sower sows the Word means the Word of God works like a seed and so is every word that we hear. Whether consciously or unconsciously, as we deal with people through conversations, they are sowing seeds into us and we into them. In the interpretation of the parable, the master indicated that the heart of man is the soil where the seed is sown. The fruitfulness of the seed is also based on the reception of the Word and the condition of the heart to the seed.

In every seed is a tree with many fruits with their seeds. The potential of a seed is not in it's size. This puts us on the alert to be very careful on what we allow people to say to us. A simple word has in it unimaginable power to make or unmake us. You may not be able to stop people from speaking negative things to you but you can stop it from getting into your heart. When you allow a word to settle on you without uprooting it, it starts germinating though you may not see the results immediately. Later in life the outcome of the Word will become clear when the fruits start manifesting.

The way to stop an evil seed from growing in your life is by condemning (uprooting) it with the Word of God. Never let any false word against you go unopposed. If you do, the seed will germinate and the outcome will not be favourable.

In Isa 54:17 no weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. Always refute any word that is not consistent with the will of God for you to prevent them from growing. Just as in the natural, if you allow a seed to grow, uprooting it will require much effort than when it was just a seed. Don’t even allow people speak negative words to your children correct them on the spot before they plant something evil in your godly kids.

Growing good seeds in your life is also by continuously declaring the will of God for you. Never be silent, continuously declare the will of God and in the face of fierce opposition keep declaring it. Even when you don’t feel it, still declare it. Remember seeds grow in silence it is just a matter of time and the results will be evident to all.

I don’t allow negative words in my life and in the life of the people around me. I refuse to cultivate evil seeds. I refute every foul word spoken to me by people or the devil with the Word of God. I declare the goodwill of God over my life and I see it manifest.
