Day 12 | January 12, 2021 | Apostle Gideon C Boateng

But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels.

Heb 12:22

All of God’s children live in His presence but we are all not on the same plane. Your plane of life is depended on the level of truth you have imbibed. The presence of God is described as a mountain in the book of Hebrews and there are different levels on every mountain. Although all are in his presence depending on the level of truth they are walking in, they may be staying higher on the mountain or closer to the base.

This account for the different Christian experiences we have. Some are mourning in Zion (Isaiah 61:3) whiles some never sin or get sick (Isaiah 33:24). Some of us have made demons useless whiles some are harassed by these same devils. Some are living in guilt whiles others flourishing in the glorious liberty of the Sons of God. Where do you choose to live? From the mountain top or from the base? Remember, (2 Cor 5:7) for we walk by faith, not by sight.

The way you walk on the mountain (Zion) is by faith. Whether you are going to climb higher the mountain or explore the same plane you will have to walk by faith. And faith is the truth of God’s Word you respond to. See an example of two Christians believing for money, car or even a healing miracle. They all have a certain amount of faith that is why they chose to pray. But one can be asking and begging God according to (Matt. 7:7) whiles the other will be thanking God that it is done according to (1 Cor 3:21). Although they all believe, they are doing it from different levels on the mountain.

The Bible says thanking and giving glory to God before you see what you are praying for is higher faith than asking. That was Abraham’s level of faith which is described as strong faith in Rom 4:17-22. The day your leave asking and begging God and move to the plane of thanking Him, you have climbed higher on the mountain. The Lord Jesus also lived on the plane of thanksgiving. He gave thanks to God for the things He was praying for before they even manifested. Remember the multiplication of the bread and the fishes (Matt 15:36), before He raised Lazarus from the dead (John11:41) and so on.

I live on the mountain top!
