///// SUNESIS OF CHRIST /////

Day 13 | January 13, 2021 | Apostle Gideon C Boateng

_________

Or have ye not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless? But I say unto you, That in this place is one greater than the temple.

Matthew 12:5-6 (KJV)

The problem that has crippled the faith of many children of God is 'sin consciousness ' and the 'burden of sin'. Sin consciousness is the feeling of being sinful and having debt of sin to settle with God. For the most of them, it is the burden of the sins they committed before they came to believe in Jesus as their Lord and personal saviour. They think what they did was too gruesome that they need to sorrow over them even now that they are in Christ.

Some other Christians are living in perpetual guilt because of things they have done that they never expected to do after they received Jesus. Some have even quit going to church because they feel unworthy to mingle with the people of God. Listen, before God you are HOLY, UNBLAMEABLE and UNREPROVEABLE irrespective of any short comings of yours so far as you believe in Jesus as your saviour. I know this may be too hard for some people but that is the reason it is called 'Gospel' meaning good news. Check out this verse in Colossians.

Colossians 1:22-23 (KJV) In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:

If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister... . You are unblameable with all your faults as you believe in Jesus.

This truth was typified in the old covenant by the priest as seen in our opening verse. The priest did what was wrong to do on the sabbath day but so far as they were done in the temple they were guiltless. They did things people were stoned to death for, yet they were blameless because they did them in the temple. God had made the temple Holy and they were covered so long as they were in the temple, but Jesus Christ is greater than the temple according to our opening verse. Meaning if you are in Christ, you are Holy, UNBLAMEABLE and UNREPROVEABLE before God. Nothing can desecrate you. Let no sin consciousness therefore stop you from manifesting the glory of God in your life. Be bold and let your light so shine before men do they will give glory to your heavenly Father.
