Live wisely among those who are not believers, and make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be gracious and attractive so that you will have the right response for everyone.
Col 4:5-6
Our opening verse for today teaches us to pay close attention to the way we handle non-Christians. Great wisdom must be applied when we make contacts with outsiders. Any moment that offers an unbeliever an opportunity to interact with us must be attended to with care to give them ample evidence to believe and not to give a wrong picture of the faith. If we shall take this verse to heart, we would mind our behaviours and utterances everywhere especially when we have unbelievers around us.
For some unsaved people, our lives would be the only Bible they will get to read. Our voice may be the only sound from heaven they will get to hear. It is because of this we need to carefully watch our lives when they are around us. The Apostle said the gospel is not only in word but in the demonstration of power. In other words, what we demonstrate in our daily living is sufficient preaching to lead many to the Lord.
The use of indecent words and cruel behaviours towards non-Christian will not make you miss heaven but it may paint a wrong picture of who Jesus is before the outsider. Our dressings have little bearing on our spirituality but when it exposes private body parts, certain so called religious people will take us on, thinking because they are better than us in that area they are ok. Make good use of every moment in your life. Preach to the world that Jesus is the same yesterday and today and forever by the way you live.
Why should they follow you when they are better than you in conduct and morality? Our conduct as children of God must mirror the divine life we have on the inside. When they look at us, they should be convicted of the reality of Jesus Christ living in us.

I refuse to preach a wrong message to the world by the way I live from today. By looking at me, all unbelievers in Christ should be able to see the one thing they lack.
